Announcing: Rasa for Pets

Rasa is expanding into an exciting, previously untapped market: species to species communication. We're very proud to announce that Rasa has developed the world's very first multispecies chatbot for pets. The multispecies chatbot has been trained on millions of conversations across many pet species. We're thrilled to say that Rasa for Pets is now live for public beta.
Your companion cat, dog, bird or small mammal can interact with this assistant in their own language1 and our super-advanced AI chatbot will not only detect what type of animal it is talking to but also respond appropriately2.
Current AI assistants are designed to give users a human-like experience. However, Rasa recognises that the optimal user experience for animals is quite different from humans. Our assistant has been tailored to the needs of pets which is why we support a rich set of animal-specific commands, such as "woof", "miaauw", "sniff sniff", and even multi-intent messages like "woof woof? bark! bark!".
Rasa for Pets represents a major milestone in the development of animal language research. The technology used in this chatbot ushers in a new state-of-the-art for Animal Language Understanding (ALU). We've developed a variant of our DIET algorithm, FIDO, to tackle all the challenges involved with modern ALU. The paper "FIDO: State of the Bark" was presented at the Artificial Intelligence for Understanding Animal Language workshop at COLING 2020. You can find more information about this research here.
Pet owners will soon be able to chat with their pets in their preferred language too. We expect to add support for Fish in April, Horse in June, and Ostrich in July. This is only the beginning, and support for additional pet species is on our roadmap.
In the future, we plan to build the world's most advanced conversational AI for pets. We're looking forward to sharing our progress with you! We're very excited about the future of Rasa for Pets.
