NLP for Developers and the Algorithm Whiteboard

Natural language processing is currently experiencing an explosion of techniques. At Rasa, we work hard to incorporate practical, cutting edge NLP research into your workflow in a seamless way. You don't need to be an expert in NLP to build a chatbot. just like you don't need to be an expert in text retrieval to use elasticsearch. But as your use case becomes more complex, developing your understanding of modern NLP techniques can help you both select appropriate existing methods and extend them for better performance.

When you rely on software to build a chatbot, especially one that is mission critical for your business, you need to understand the underlying technology it relies on. This is why we've launched two new series on the Rasa channel.

NLP for Developers

A series of short, introductory videos that each cover a single NLP technique: what is it, how it works, when should you use it and what its drawbacks are. They're hosted by Dr. Rachael Tatman.

The Algorithm Whiteboard

This series goes more in depth on techniques and highlights key results from our own research department. They'll be hosted by Vincent D. Warmerdam.
